Descending the Meuse river we arrive at our next destination: Huy! Here we found the Huy’s Cultural Center team that challenged us to start a multi-step participatory process in Batta neighborhood to invest in the appropriation of public space. Our first on site action builds up on the dynamics they’ve already initiated. To start involving the citizens in the process we launched a three-day design-painting-construction moment. How to co-create something that impacts the public space in such a short time frame? Here we’ve decided – as usual! – to dive directly into the making. Some wood, some paint and an open building site format, facilitating the exchange of ideas and the use of the tools. A very simple first intervention to establish the beginning of this new interactive process. Looking forward to the next steps!
